Introduction: Tie-Dye.org

by Mike Fowler

Started in 1997, I had a tie-dye website where I made tie-dye t-shirts and tapestries / wall hangings. This morphed into the tie-dye forum and a strong community was built. In 2005, I even travelled across the US delivering workshops and released a DVD called The Art of Tie-Dye.

With Covid-19 having a huge impact on artists the world over and people seeking alternative crafts and activities to do, I thought releasing a tie-dye kit that included the videos from my DVD, as well as illustrated folding patters would be an awesome way to support the arts and also be super fun for folks all over the world ...

So this is Tie-Dye.org. It was born in the parking lot of a Grateful Dead concert back in 1993. What a long strange trip it's been!
